Antonio Spurs on attack!

On Saturday Antonio Spurs defeated the Portland Trail Blazers with 118-103 to go to the cup of the finale of Western Conference. Tony parker alone scored 29 points.

In the seven match series that will continue on Monday at Portland the Spurs have already taken 3-0 lead in the series. The forward player Tim Duncan gathered 19 points, four assists and seven rebounds for his team.

Five players of San Antonio scored in double figures. As compared to Portland’s reserves which got six points and San Antonio combined 40 points.

After a long break Portland completed a run leaving San Antonia behind in the beginning of five minutes of the third quarter with a 17-4 and tried to draw within 64-57 but it was the spurs that clinched the match and got a definite win.

In the first three matches of the series Portland only for 33 seconds was leading but it was the supremacy of the Spurs that have succeeded by a collective total of 56 points. A mark of respect was given to parker and his bench by the coach of San Antonio, Gregg Popovich.

Popvich said to the reporters that Parker started of well that night. He also involved everybody else in the match and made the blast. He has been the machine for them. He is actually playing an authentic match. He also played some great defense. Further he added that the bench also played really very well all year long. Besides this there was a home advantage in this series which sustained to be big for them.

Terry Stotts the coach of Portland accepted that his team was capable of parting themselves after making such a bad start. In the first half they got down huge but in the second half they played stiff which was the reason for their failure. San Antonio has lot of options and so they are good.
