Drummond Selected In 12-Man USA Basketball Roster

The 12-Man USA Basketball roster for USA Worlds has reportedly been announced and Andre Drummond is one of the most significant names here. The declaration was made last Friday by Jerry Colangelo, the Managing Director of USA National Basketball Team.

The World Cup is to held from 30th August till 14th of September in Spain.

Apart from Andre Drummond (from Detroit Pistons), the other talented names dotting the team roster are DeMarcus Cousins & Rudy Gay from Sacramento Kings, Anthony Davis from Orleans Pelicans, Stephen Curry & Klay Thompson from Golden State, DeMar DeRozan from Toronto Raptors, Kenneth Faried from Denver Nuggets, James Harden from Houston Rockets, Kyrie Irving from Cleveland Cavaliers, Derrick Rose from Chicago Bulls and Mason Plumlee from Brooklyn Nets.

“This was undoubtedly the toughest selection we have ever been through”, stated the team managing director. “I cannot emphasize enough the very outstanding endeavor & commitment showed by each of our finalists. Also, I would like to clear that it’s not about talent- every player here is extremely talented & each has offered exclusive skills. Finally, it was all about selecting the best possible squad, assembling the players who we have felt would amaze with best play prowess that we have envisioned.”

“The primary thing that pleased us is the overall endeavor showed by each of the players here who had been a unit of this process”, remarked Mike Krzyzewski, the head coach of the USA team as well as the mentor of Naismith Fame Hall of Duke University. “To select 12 was tough as our player pool is great. As we head forward, we simply don’t advance as 12 but as the pool for American Basketball. I would like to thank all the guys who aren’t heading forward.”
